On October 15, the first batch of goods carried by the “Hainan Free Trade Port - New Western Land-Sea Corridor” special train of intermodal transport service was successfully shipped from the Yangpu International Container Terminal, marking the official launch of the “Hainan Free Trade Port – New Western Land-Sea Corridor” grain and oil intermodal logistics channel. The intermodal transport system that links Yangpu with the inland areas via Beibu Gulf has made leapfrog development.

The special tank container train for gain and oil transportation was jointly created by Hainan Harbor & Shipping Logistics, COSCO SHIPPING Logistics Guangzhou, China Railway Tielong Container Logistics and COSCO SHIPPING Lines Hainan. As a new demonstration project on intermodal transport business, it will provide a new channel of industrial circulation for enterprises operating at Hainan Free Trade Port, optimize the business environment for manufacturers, and build a professional, digital, high-standard integrated logistics supply chain solution for the transportation of grain, oil and other bulk commodities.

The successful launch of the service has also reflected the new achievement of the effort that aims to push forward the development of the industrial chain through the logistics supply chain. It has signification implications for promoting the construction of both the Hainan Free Trade Port and the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.
